We were thrilled to welcome composer and pianist Will Todd to our rehearsal of his exciting 'Mass in Blue' at our regula venue: The Spire Church. Photographer Simon Claiden was on hand to capture the highlights of the occasion!

As you can see, we started by getting our jazz hands into good shape with an energetic warm-up, and then went through the whole piece, movement by movement, with Will at the piano and Richard conducting. Will's main message to the choir, as per his earlier interview on our YouTube channel here, was not to worry over much about getting every detail right but to think instead of the performance: to look up and out at the audience, and to make it clear we were having fun!

We certainly had fun with Will at the rehearsal, and it gave us great confidence looking ahead to our concert with him and the Will Todd Ensemble on Sunday, March 24th at 6 pm at the Farnham Maltings!
