Waverley Singers

Proceeds in aid of St Thomas-on-The Bourne Church funds.

This is the first reference we have to Margery Wakefield's appearing as a soloist in a Waverley Singers concert, but according to the feature in The Herald before the choir's Silver Jubilee concert in 1980 she had been the regular accompanist at rehearsals for seventeen years, so probably since 1963.

She appeared as a soloist in at least 12 concerts in all, playing both piano and harpsichord; the last reference we can find is to the Christmas Carols concert in December 1984.
